The rocky peak behind the hill near the far right of this image is the rock peak of Mt. Chipián, the new source of the Amazon River. This image is taken in 2023 at almost the same point (about 60 m north) as the photo in the main text (taken in 1986). The appearance of the buildings in the foreground has changed significantly due to the progress of urbanization in Junín City.
